Where installations create critical points

When pipes, cables or technical installations pass through roofs, walls or other constructions, a critical point is created between the installation and the substrate.

The solution must be able to follow the shape, movement, moisture exposure and specific substrate without making installation unnecessarily complicated.

Flexible PIB for Pipes, Cables and Technical Details

SabetoFLEX solutions are made from flexible PIB with a self-adhesive butyl backing. The material can be cut, shaped and adapted around pipes, cables, corners, joints and technical installations.

SabetoFLEX Activator Spray activates the butyl backing and makes it easier to shape and press firmly into place around the detail.

Prefabricated or adapted on site

Choose a prefabricated penetration when the dimensions and geometry are known in advance.

For variable dimensions, cable bundles or irregular details, PIB membranes, flashing tape and SabetoCOVER can be cut and shaped directly on site. SabetoFLEX Activator Spray helps make the butyl backing easier to form and press into place.

Shape, activate and press into place

The substrate must be suitable, stable and prepared for the selected solution. Where required, the butyl backing is activated with SabetoFLEX Activator Spray before the PIB material is shaped around the penetration and pressed firmly into place.

Overlaps, edges and transitions should be completed in accordance with the relevant installation guide and the specific construction.
