Adaptive protection for demanding insulation tasks
Industrial tanks, hot pipes and cold pipework are exposed to conditions that can challenge the layers protecting the insulation — moisture, condensation, weather, vibration, thermal movement and mechanical stress.
EasyFLEX Roofing is part of SabetoFLEX and works with HankoFLEX® insulation systems for industrial storage tanks. We also develop and manufacture custom PIB details for insulation build-ups where standard solutions are not enough.
Industrial storage tanks
For large tanks where insulation, membrane protection and long service life need to be considered together.
HankoFLEX® is relevant for industrial storage tanks where the insulation build-up needs protection against weather, moisture and mechanical impact.
For both warm and cold tanks, the solution should be assessed based on temperature, environmental conditions, insulation requirements and operation.
Hot and cold pipework
For industrial pipe systems where the insulation needs protection against moisture, movement and complex details around joints, supports, valves, bends and penetrations.
For hot pipes, the system can be designed with controlled moisture release through ventilation openings and a deffusion-open coating. For cold pipes, moisture is first allowed to escape before the openings are closed with PIB patches and sealed with a diffusion-tight finish.
Custom PIB details
For insulation build-ups where standard solutions do not fit the detail.
When pipes, flanges, brackets, corners, tank tops or terminations need to be sealed and protected, custom PIB details can be a practical solution.
The details can be adapted to the specific geometry and used where the insulation build-up needs protection against moisture, weather, UV exposure or mechanical impact.
Advice based on the project
Tank insulation and cold pipe protection depend on temperature, exposure, insulation requirements, substrate, geometry and operation. That is why the solution should always be assessed around the actual installation — not as a standard product choice.
