What are EasyFLEX PIB Roofing Membrane Rolls?
EasyFLEX PIB Roofing Membrane Rolls are flexible, flame-free roofing membranes based on polyisobutylene, or PIB. They are designed for professional flat and low-pitched roof projects where a durable, vapour-tight and flexible membrane system is required without the use of open flame.
PIB is central to the EasyFLEX approach to roofing and flashing. The membrane is PFAS-free and developed without substances that can leach into rainwater or the surrounding environment. This makes it suitable for projects where material selection, water quality and long service life are important considerations.
Installation is carried out without a gas torch or other hot works. Overlaps are sealed with SabetoFLEX Accelerator Glue, and the membrane forms part of the EasyFLEX system together with adhesives, corners and accessories. This supports a fast and controlled installation process, particularly around details, connections and penetrations.
Membrane width, system build-up, adhesive, fixing method and accessories must always be selected according to the roof substrate, slope, loading, details and project requirements.
Key product points
Areas of application
EasyFLEX PIB Roofing Membrane Rolls are designed for professional roofing projects requiring a flexible, vapour-tight and flame-free membrane solution supplied in rolls.
The system is especially relevant for flat and low-pitched roofs, renovation projects and applications where torch-free installation, PFAS-free material selection and long service life are important considerations.
Typical applications include:
- Flat and low-pitched roofs
- Renovation of existing roof surfaces
- New roof build-ups on suitable substrates
- Roofs with multiple details, penetrations or connections
- Underlays, roof details and flashings within the EasyFLEX system
- Projects where installation without hot works is an advantage
- Projects where roof-water quality, material selection and the risk of substance leaching are important considerations
The substrate, roof build-up, fixing method, membrane width, adhesive and accessories must always be assessed according to the specific application and project requirements.

How to use the product
EasyFLEX PIB Roofing Membrane Rolls are installed as part of a complete roof build-up in which the vapour barrier, insulation, adhesive, optional reinforcement mesh and UV-resistant PIB roofing membrane are selected to suit the project requirements.
Installation notes
EasyFLEX PIB Roofing Membrane Rolls are installed without a gas torch or open flame.
EasyFLEX Adhesive Spray is typically used to install PIB membranes and any reinforcement mesh included in the build-up. Overlaps between PIB roofing membrane rolls are sealed with SabetoFLEX Accelerator Glue.
Products with a butyl backing and specialist detailing components may require different surface preparation or activation depending on the product, substrate and selected system build-up.
The installation method, adhesive selection, insulation build-up, fixing and detailing must always be adapted to the specific roof and documentation requirements.

A typical roof build-up includes:
- Substrate or existing roof surface
- Insulation build-up according to the project requirements
- EasyFLEX PIB vapour barrier installed with EasyFLEX Adhesive Spray
- Additional insulation or substrate layer according to the selected roof system
- Optional EasyFLEX reinforcement mesh installed with EasyFLEX Adhesive Spray for additional stability
- UV-resistant EasyFLEX PIB roofing membrane installed with EasyFLEX Adhesive Spray
- Overlaps between PIB roofing membrane rolls sealed with SabetoFLEX Accelerator Glue
