SabetoFLEX Activator Spray is developed for installing products with a butyl backing, where the butyl needs to be activated, shaped and adapted around corners, flashings and other critical details.
Activator Spray for butyl-backed details
SabetoFLEX Activator Spray is used with products that have a butyl backing. The spray activates and softens the butyl, making the material easier to work with, shape and press firmly into place during installation.
This makes it particularly useful around corners, transitions and other details where the installer needs a flexible solution that can be adjusted directly on site.
Butyl-backed details in damp conditions
SabetoFLEX Activator Spray can be used with butyl-backed products where the butyl needs to be activated, shaped and adapted directly on site.
It can also support installation in damp conditions by displacing water from the surface and helping maintain contact between the butyl backing and the substrate. The exact application will always depend on the product, substrate and installation conditions.
Please note: SabetoFLEX Activator Spray is developed for products with a butyl backing. It must not be used as a general primer for EasyFLEX PIB roofing membranes.
Wondercorners as an example of butyl-backed detailing
SabetoFLEX Wondercorners are designed for internal and external corners where a secure, flexible finish is essential. They can be shaped and adapted directly on site, including around details that are not exactly 90 degrees.
For versions with a butyl backing, SabetoFLEX Activator Spray is used to activate and soften the butyl, making the corners easier to shape and press firmly into place. This makes Wondercorners a practical option for corners, transitions and other critical details where secure sealing and flexible adjustment are important.
When condensation is a issue
Around some penetrations and technical details, the substrate may be damp or prone to condensation. This can occur around vapour barriers, ventilation, extraction systems and other installations where temperature differences and moisture affect the surface during installation.
SabetoFLEX Activator Spray can be used with butyl-backed products that need to be activated and adapted on site. It also helps displace surface moisture, making it easier for the installer to work with butyl-based details in damp conditions.
