What is ElaProof Classic H?
ElaProof Classic H is a water-based, hand-applied elastic coating for professional waterproofing and coating projects. It is particularly suited to details, transitions, joints, smaller surfaces and local repairs where precise application is important.
The coating forms a flexible, seamless membrane and can be used in system build-ups requiring waterproofing, protection and elastic surface treatment on suitable substrates. The substrate, film thickness, application method and project conditions must always be assessed before use.
Product highlights
Areas of application
- Details and transitions
- Joints and corners
- Smaller surfaces
- Local repairs
- Cracks and moving details
- Technical penetrations and connections
ElaProof Classic H can be used on suitable substrates where a hand-applied elastic coating is required for waterproofing, protection or local repair.
Typical applications include:
The substrate must be stable, clean and suitable for the selected system build-up. Film thickness, coverage and any reinforcement requirements must be assessed according to the application and project conditions.

How to use the product
ElaProof Classic H is applied manually and is well suited to applications where the coating must be worked precisely around details, edges, joints and transitions.

A typical workflow includes:
- Inspect and prepare the substrate
- Remove dust, dirt and loose material
- Apply primer or other surface preparation where required
- Apply ElaProof Classic H using suitable hand tools
- Reinforce cracks, corners, joints or other critical details where required
- Check film thickness, coverage and finish
Application notes
ElaProof Classic H can be applied manually using a trowel, brush or another suitable tool selected according to the task.
When sealing around cracks, corners, joints or other critical details, reinforcement tape or another suitable reinforcement may be required between coats.
Apply only under suitable temperature and substrate conditions. Always consult the technical data sheet before use.

We recommend assessing whether a primer is required as part of the surface preparation before applying an ElaProof coating. On porous substrates, ElaProof Primer is used to improve adhesion and help seal pores in the surface.
