What is EasyFLEX Adhesive Spray?

EasyFLEX Adhesive Spray is a sprayable contact adhesive developed for professional installation tasks where fast application, strong adhesion and an efficient workflow are required.

Within the EasyFLEX system, it is used to install PIB membranes, PIB vapour barriers and EasyFLEX reinforcement mesh as part of the roof build-up. It can also be used on other suitable substrates and materials where the product's technical properties and the project requirements are compatible.

The adhesive has a short drying time and a practical open time, providing flexibility during installation. The substrate, temperature, humidity, material type and system build-up must always be assessed before use.

    How to use the product

EasyFLEX Adhesive Spray is used as a contact adhesive and is applied to both surfaces that are to be bonded. It is used for installing PIB membranes, PIB vapour barriers and EasyFLEX reinforcement mesh in EasyFLEX roof build-ups.

    Application notes

When using the canister system, hold the spray gun at approximately 90° to the surface. Apply an even coat to both substrates, preferably in a vertical direction on one surface and a horizontal direction on the other.

When using the aerosol, hold the can at approximately 70° to the surface. Apply an even coat to both substrates with 80–100% coverage.

Drying time is typically 1–2 minutes, depending on the substrate, temperature and humidity. Once the adhesive is tacky, bring the surfaces together and press them evenly.

Do not use the product on flexible PVC or expanded polystyrene. Always consult the technical data sheet and safety data sheet before use.

    A typical workflow includes:

    1. Inspect the substrates and materials
    2. Clean the surfaces so they are dry and free from dust, grease and oil
    3. Apply adhesive to both surfaces
    4. Ensure even application with 80–100% coverage
    5. Allow a short drying period until the adhesive becomes tacky
    6. Join the materials within the product's open time
    7. Apply even pressure from the centre towards the edges
